Left and right....SMDH! We all served as one big fighting machine. Not Left or Right. What kills many of us who served is why WE as military wasn't considered Left or Right. True be told, if any of us has seen the facts, Right has done more harm to our retired, those currently serving ( Drop in pay and forced retirements and now our VAMC's are messed up due to poor management ( Out-Sourcing) our healthcare. So we're now divided by politics that could care less whether we all live or die. Thanks for Service's gang.

Quite true Rock. But the thing that irks me mostly is how our Veteran's attacked the very same thing we all signed a blank check to protect.

I agree with you on this point especially here in Canada. The difference is that Republicans are conservatives don't hate their own national flag. Neither conservative or Republican party people would make you listen to BS critical race Theory and definitely would not defund the police. Republicans and conservatives American and Canadian do not believe in divisiveness like the left. We are not talking about Democrats from the Clinton era or before because they would be considered moderate Republicans today.

SFC William Farrell whoever had the innovative idea, in the early 2000s, to recruit gang members may have been innovative, but dumb.

Almost forgot. Back in the 1970s during the draft many of the draftees where members or associated with the various gang/ extremists organizations.

That's exactly what I was thinking ... recruiting felons and gang members was a huge mistake. A recent weapons theft event (I don't recall the news I saw it on) involved gang members (military) selling guns in an LA neighborhood where there home gang was.
I will also note that just a few months before I got to Walter Reed in 1971, the Arms Room there was burglarized with mostly SG and handguns taken. Several years later, when I was then at Ft. Belvoir, VA the D.C. police pulled over a car during dark hours and the driver got out and shot at the officer as he was getting out of his patrol car. Luckily, the doo'r metal crash beam (I Beam?) took the brunt of the shotgun blast. The police either pursued the car, or ran the plates - don't recall which but the found the car at a residence where most of the firearms from Walter Reed were found.
