Thanks SGT John " Mac " McConnell for sharing the background on the Grand Ole Opry show which was initiated long before television and when radio was a new phenomenon on the night of Nov. 28, 1925.

I was never a fan of country music but somehow enjoyed watching the Grand Ole Opry on TV in the 60's. Some great musicians whose careers really took off after they appeared on that show. Roy Clark and June Carter come to mind.
