The history of the AF uniform since I came in...we are getting ready to change for the 5th time- I cheated and used DCUs in there.

CW5 Jack Cardwell, the Army has been upside down and wrong headed about service dress uniforms since post WWII. Going to the old dress green uniform was a mistake, which was compounded by the hideous mint green shirts. Going to dress blues for the service dress uniform was a huge mistake. The Army should have kept the OD service dress uniforms and pinks and greens of WWII, with updated materials. All the berets but green for Special Forces and black (now tan) was another mammoth mistake. Go back to service caps and garrison caps (with glider patches for traditional airborne).
I can’t even address utility and combat uniforms. I’ve been out too long to make knowledgeable comments but for the fact that they have been changed much too frequently and the ultimate cost to the individual soldier is ridiculous.

I haven't read the article, but my guess is if you printed it, the uniform years of 1776 through the 60's and '70's in Vietnam would be a few pages long, and after that, why you could fill a large notebook with the nonstop changes since then (and this applies to the other 4 Armed Services as well).
