Good morning and happy Hump day Col Burroughs and Posse. Got a late start today as somehow I was up around 2am for a bit and then when I went back to bed, I slept later than I usually do.
Now to the issue of the day...when we have something to deal with whether it is a problem, a project, something that needs to be checked out (perhaps a medical issue) it will not go away if we just think about it (or try to avoid thinking about it). The best way to deal with things is head on; make it a priority and do your best to resolve it. Then it is time to shelve it if you have managed to solve it or put it on hold until you need to deal with it again. Otherwise it will "eat" your emotional, spiritual, mental and physical energy.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Grief should not define us. You are right, it does not go away but you cannot let it wrap itself around your chest and continue to squeeze the life from you. You will always carry the loss with you but you will also carry the memories and love. I hope your heart is full of the love.

I hope you are grateful for your nerves and nervous system which enables you to see, hear, smell, taste as well as to feel pleasure and pain. No doubt you have experienced the pain of heartbreak as well as joy, love, emotional and sensual pleasure. I expect you have experienced happiness and joy after redeploying or a lengthy business trip and returning to family and friends. ‘Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.’ [Proverbs 13:12 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
I pray for those distraught families and the anxious about their employment situation, finances and health circumstances this winter. I pray that YOU give them eyes to see, ears to hear as YOU open the door for them to move through and close other doors. do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. [Philippians 4:6-7 ESV]
I lift the widows, widowers, those grieving other significant losses including involuntary separation to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU bless each one with a large measure of peace and joy and enable each to rest peacefully in YOUR arms. YOU make it clear in YOUR Word that YOU are husband to widows, Father to orphans, and protector of the weak. ‘For your Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called. For the LORD has called you like a wife deserted and grieved in spirit, [Isaiah 54:5-6a ESV]
I pray for the disabled veterans, service members, policemen, firefighters and EMT personnel and those who love, care and treat them. I pray that each one is blessed with proper care and YOUR love tonight. Give each one peace dear LORD. 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid' [John 14:27]
I lift each person suffering from mental illness, TBI and PTSD in the USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Egypt, India, Korea, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU guide each one day-by-day and give them endurance and will to persevere. 'Have I not commanded you. Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.' [Joshua 1:9 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.

Good “Wednesday & Hump Day” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse from another beautiful day in SW Florida!
We are currently enjoying a mild temperature of 77° and headed up to about 84° this afternoon... I'll take it!!! I am a bit late getting started today as my wife and I had a Zoom meeting with our financial adviser... I am now back at it... Have a great day, Mikel!!!
Today’s Message is: “Going Away Day!” Why Not?
1) “Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.” - Rumi
2) “The two hardest things to say in life are hello for the first time and goodbye for the last.” - Moira Rogers
3) "What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.” - T.S. Eliot
4) “Man’s feelings are always purest and most glowing in the hour of meeting and of farewell.” - Jean Paul Richter
5) "Don’t be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.” - Richard Bach
There is going away and then there is GOING AWAY and so...
“The pain, stigma, and suffering for veterans with invisible wounds or disabilities never goes away. It just slips into remission temporarily. We can do so much more to support and help them with "peer-to-peer" online support, hope, and "sharing is caring". Join with Victory for Veterans, Inc and Warriors for Life (WFL) to make a difference.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
