Thanks for the sad reminder that USMC Maj. Gen. Bruno Hochmuth was killed when the helicopter he was in was shot down in Vietnam in 1967. Many service members were killed when the helicopter they were riding in was shot down since the Korean War - most died in the Vietnam War. Far too many also died in OIF and OEF.
My first thoughts were about our friend SGT (Join to see)

LTC (Major) William Lawrence Deane went MIA when their HU-1H was shot down. 6 total in the crash. This was the father of an acqauintance I had at youth group in Northern VA in '74. I never forgot. 2000 reamins of all 6 are now resting in Arlington National Cememtery.
When this current war broke out I heard to Vietnam veteran say that this was exactly like Vietnam in the soldiers level. This is why I have been with the USO for over six years.
Thank you all.

Gen Hochmuth was the most senior general killed in Vietnam, an honor no one would covet. He served gallantly in World War 2, serving in the invasions of Saipan, Tinian, and Okinawa plus he was involved with the first occupation force sent into Japan after her surrender.

I think if President Nixon were still in office if you didn't do a Hillary Clinton lying that he probably would have stayed the course and maybe even North Vietnam when it invaded South Vietnam just amazing what Nineteen Minutes of missing tape 1 break in and try to hide it how That Changed History and fast forward 45 years and boy did missing emails change history but this time since Hillary got away with it President Obama Can't part with her because she was never charged but had she been charged, you know that has it that President Obama on his final day would have pardoned her and president Trump couldn't have done anything to unwind that pardon.
