Thanks my friend SP5 Mark Kuzinski for sharing the news. Woodward and Bernstein came to mind [Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein broke the Pentagon papers story so long ago].
I am not surprised that the current "team: of DoD "leaders" wanted to quash the report. Personnel and critical equipment sustainment were much lower priority to them than social change and other politically issues.
Kudos to the Defense Business Board (DBB) which called for a series of reforms that would have saved the department $125 billion over the next five years. Hopefully many of these reforms will be implemented in the coming years by the new administration.

The fraud, waste and abuse is so rampant it is not funny. I know of a military organization that purchased almost one million dollars worth of computer equipment that had to be turned over to DRMO because it was not on the approved list to be connected to the DoD networks. WTF? No one was fired, no consequences, no repercussions. No one is held responsible for screw ups.
