Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. Short comments but I will be back after this workshop is done.
If you truly want something, go after it. Don't wait until tomorrow or expect that it will fall into your lap somehow. The difference between getting what you have and what you want is the work that you are willing to put in.
Back now as the workshop took a bit longer than I planned but everyone seemed to get something out of it so I am good with that!
Wanting is just wishful thinking if the willingness to put in the work isn't there.

I hope that you are content with your circumstances and progress and yet striving to improve. I expect that you are honest, fair in judgement, and you display moral courage as stand up for others. I pray that you and I are effective, hopeful, decisive when required. 'Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance. [Philippians 4:11-12 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray for an increase in compassion, goodness, and self-control for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters dear LORD. Thank YOU, LORD for fulfilling the desires of each of us that align you’re your specific will for us. YOU designed each one us to learn best and YOU blessed our parents, guardians, teachers to help us learn. Thank YOU, LORD for blessing each of us with discernment to help our own children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to learn. YOU enable us to share what we learn by demonstration. ‘Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.’ [Proverbs 22:6 ESV]
I lift the indecisive, the timid, the abused, those devoid of hope and especially those devoid of vision for the future to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU bless each with a large measure of hope and endurance to persevere though these challenging times. I pray that YOU bless those too timid and fearful, who have minimal hope, with desires YOU shall fulfill and a vision to guide them to personal victory. ‘Where there is no prophetic vision, the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law’ [Proverbs 29:18 ESV]
I pray for genuine increase of moral courage, honesty, and desire for fairness for each trustworthy legislator, judge, justice, government executive, appointed official, and leader. I pray that YOU bless each with wisdom, great listening skills, and favor in negotiations. ‘Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. [James 1:19-20 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Alan K. Based on what Mikel has shared with me it looks as if it will be middle to late afternoon before he gets to the Boston area... I have been thing about something at the Norwood Elks facility where I hold my DAV meetings...as I am also an ELK member... But that is dependent on many things, including his ride up to NH... We certainly can work something out that works for all of us, Alan...we should talk or email each other more...

If You don't take care of the immediate problems they will grow into larger problems that are harder to remedy and certainly won't get You where You want to be ! Doing nothing will NOT ever get You closer, problems don't fix themselves.

Great wisdom and you're exactly right SMSgt Lawrence McCarter.... Thanks brother...

“Today is ‘You Want to Be’ and for many that is a great goal to shoot for. You should always think of yourself as the person you want to be or can be if you apply yourself. From a leadership standpoint I mentioned the things you NEED to be and for some, don’t get caught up in the ‘Want to be’ syndrome. That leads me to this quote…

‘Be who you want to be, not what others want you to be.’ — Unknown Author

May you always believe that you are who you want to be; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Live your life the way you always want to be remembered.” – COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

But take care that the immediate problems prevent your progress to the long term goal. What a trade off that you must make daily. I had a boss that made me put in writing the long term project to be accomplished and then post it on next to my computer. I thought it was pretty silly requirement. But every morning I would see it and I would see it throughout the day as I was fighting the alligators. After a week he asked for a progress report and I said not much because the week was all alligators. He then had me promise to work on the project 1 hour a day. Two weeks later I gave him the results of the project. He then told me to write the next project. Needless to say for the rest of working career I did this. Proof that you can still drain the swamp while fighting the alligators. Have a great day everyone.
