I expect that you have experienced peace in your soul while you are grieving and most likely the LORD has blessed you with joy in the midst of grieving. No doubt you realize that in accordance with God’s Word, that maintaining and improving interpersonal relationship is of primary importance to God. 'If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself,' you are doing well.' [James 2: ESV] Sense of priority is important for leaders at any level. By definition priority is unary. I hope and pray that your and my relationship with the LORD is open and uninhibited on our part 'do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' [Philippians 4:6-7 ESV] my brother-in-Christ SGT (Join to see).

I pray that the LORD blesses each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer with clarity of focus on what our priority of effort, talents and resources needs to be. Lord I pray that YOU enable us to see clearly and hear clearly what YOU know we should do – day-by-day and hour-by-hour. For most of us improving personal relationships is near the top if not the most important for each of us. ‘Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. [Philippians 2:3-4 ESV]
LORD I pray that YOU empower each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or hears it to be ambassadors for peace in these challenging times. Empower each of us with compassion, humility, and brotherly love. 'Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but enjoy the company of the lowly. Do not be conceited.'[ Romans 12:15-16 ESV]
I pray for peace and comfort for each one grieving tonight including widows, widowers, spouses and children of those missing in action, the homeless, and the outcasts of society dear LORD. I pray that YOU punctuate their grief with joy in YOUR perfect timing. I thank YOU for raising good listeners to come alongside and meet them at their needs for human companionship. I pray that YOU bless the family members of MIA with a large measure of peace and joy as they wait for news about their MIA loved one and closure. Enable them to lean on YOU as they grieve while waiting for a knock on the door. I pray that YOU guide those searching for remains to remains of MIA to find, identify and recover the remains and effects in YOUR perfect timing. 'Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight'. [Romans 12:15-16 ESV]
I pray that you and I heed the admonition of the LORD
a. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40 ESV
b. 'What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.' [James 2:14-17 ESV]

I pray that you and your family members sleep well Sunday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Monday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good Sunday morning Col Burroughs and Posse. I had the pleasure and honor to be able to do an in person Yellow Ribbon event yesterday for the Maryland Guard/Reserve returning from various locations in the Middle East.
I am a firm believer in the soul and finding one's peace is only possible when you stop and truly listen for that still small voice. It is there but so often it is overwhelmed by all the noise and tumult of our day to day lives. As we were hiking out in West Virginia over the past couple of days, off the grid with little to no internet, you could feel the peace in your heart and soul. It was "bathing in nature" something that the Japanese do frequently to find peace/calm. A great combination of greenery and water that definitely left a peaceful echo for me.

Good “Sunday!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse from the bright blue skies of the Greater Boston Area... the heat wave has broken and we are much cooler today... I am later than usual in responding as my wife hoodwinked me to plant some shrubs and mulch along one side of our house... I am now kind of wiped out... Age doesn't help any when the physical work is demanding on the body... LOL!

Today is: “Peace of Soul Day!” Why Not?

"If you wish to strive for peace of soul and pleasure, then believe." - Heinrich Heine

"Let everything about you breathe the calm and peace of the soul." - Paul Gauguin

"Here the ways of men divide. If you wish to strive for peace of soul and happiness, then believe; if you wish to be a disciple of truth, then inquire." - Friedrich Nietzsche

"One who changes a body from the error of the way not only brings peace and harmony but saves a soul and covers a multitude of shortcomings." - Edgar Cayce

"For every man, peace of soul is precious. With those who have attained peace of soul, the body can be in constant motion; in work, in pain, but their souls, affixed to God, always remain in unwavering peace." - Nikolaj Velimirovic

"When you experience peace of soul, with each breath you are present to the fact that this is a divine moment, a moment to shine like you have never shone before, a moment to hold the whole world in your hands with a gentle thought and a kind heart." - Debbie Ford

And when one analyses the life he or she is in, entertain the message below...

“A simple way to achieve peace of soul is setting your priorities straight and making sure they’re in the proper order.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
