Never realized just how high and how difficult it was for the Italians and Austrian Hungarians! Thanks for your post. If I was younger with stronger knees I think I'd like to hike up to parts of this battle field! Thanks for your post LTC Stephen Ford!

Yeah, I'd actually read about that awhile back...I'd also read Rommel had apparently been somewhere there during WW1, before WW2, obviously, I gather he'd been quite heavily involved, from all I'd read sometime back, as I'd said...I do positively remember reading he'd been in Italy during WW1, whether involved with that specifically, or elsewhere, however, I do recall reading something about that, definitely....
