LTC Stephen F. `1967 I was Only 9 but I remember watching the war on the Nightly News. The US Withdrawal was 1973 with the embassy closing in 1975 I Joined the Navy in 1976 Needless to say I am Considered a "Vietnam Era" Veteran. Now it wouldn't be until 86 with El Dorado Canyon, 91 Desert Storm and 96 Desert Strike that I was Actually Involved with "Our Business"

I am glad you enjoyed it, my friend PO1 William "Chip" Nagel
I enlisted in 1974 after I turned 18; but, there was no need for combat engineers by that time, in Vietnam.
