I enjoyed deGrasse Tyson until he went into the weeds with man-made climate change. Once he joined the politically correct crowd on that issue, I began to suspect everything else he had to say. The problem is that I know enough about weather and climate to recognize the fallacy of man-made climate change and enough about ideology to see how it is being used to exert inappropriate control over people, but I don't know enough about all spheres of science to judge as well his commentary on other topics and am left suspicious. Sad to see a great mind hijacked in that manner...

CPT Jack Durish - I plan to share more of his discussions, so perhaps you could hold off on any final judgements for awhile... He is a brilliant man in my opinion, but people are people and when one decides to react on a theoretical basis then one may not see all of the possibilities instantly nor what might obviate them... I can see that you are a deep thinker and that is a good thing in my book... I think with an open mind and digest the knowledge I receive and decide after awhile whether the knowledge I received is valid and worth saving or discarding... I, for one am not ready to throw in the towel on Dr. Tyson... What thoughts or ideas do you have relative to Physics/Astronomy/other life forms, etc.?

Sgt (Join to see) - Oh, I haven't thrown in the towel. I think he is brilliant and very personable. He is an excellent narrator. Sadly, his has damaged his credibility in my eyes and I can't accept his narratives as openly as I might have if he hadn't gone with the ideological substitute for real science

Sgt (Join to see) - He IS an interesting speaker. He DOES provoke thought. That's always a good thing, whether we agree or disagree with his postulations.
