"Kurt Hubert Franz (born on 17 January 1914 — died on 4 July 1998) was an officer of the SS and one of many commanders at the Treblinka extermination camp. He was one of the biggest war criminals of the Holocaust period who was responsible for genocide."

SFC (Join to see) - also did a little digging for the Civil War Era, had more relatives that spelled the our last name with the E, and with out it fought for the North, it was like 25 - 16, or somewhere in that area.

The movie character had a lot of similarities with a lot of camp commandants, but the most fitting one was Amon Goth. While he did similar things as Franz, he was hanged at the end of the movie (which was historically true) whereas Franz escaped justice for a decade.

Sadly there was no shortage of them. Even accounting for the ones that had been lied to, there were still no shortages for the camp payrolls.

The one thing that I do not understand is how that POS got any leniency! He should have been afforded the right to suffer and die in prison.
