Once the Holy Spirit regenerates our heart/soul our eyes and ears are opened to the truth which we have been blinded and deaf to the truth of the Gospel. After that blessed point we recognize we have a need for God and are grateful that HE has adopted us as HIS adopted son or daughter.

We need God because without Him, we will never be satisfied. We are incomplete without union with God. It is as if there is a God-shaped vacuum in every one of us, only to be filled by the life of God in us!

Things will never satisfy us. When we obtain new things, they only satisfy for a short period of time. How much is enough? There will never be enough. There is nothing that can fill that void, except a relationship with God.
