Your topic of the day 'makes sense' to me :-)
It makes a lot of sense to be firmly grounded in a chaotic environment.
Being rooted in the rock of Christ is a blessing.
1. Jane Austen's 1811 novel 'Sense and Sensibilities' comes to mind
2. In this age common sense is common to common folk and uncommon to the high and mighty.

Good Wednesday, March 24, 2021 morning my friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs

Scriptures
a. Luke 6:47-48 ESV 'Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose'
b. Isaiah 54:11-12, 14 ESV “O afflicted one, storm-tossed and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and lay your foundations with sapphires. I will make your pinnacles of agate, your gates of carbuncles, and all your wall of precious stones. All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.'
c. Psalm 18:2-4 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised
d. Psalm 61:2 When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I
I pray for common sense, stability, calmness under pressure, and an increase of the fruit of the spirit goodness and self-control for each and every adopted son and daughter of God. LORD I am thankful that YOU are in complete control of every aspect of our life and all of creation. YOU are all powerful, supreme in love, supreme in justice and supreme in mercy. ‘Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.’ [Proverbs 17:27-28 ESV]
I lift parents of young children and those children who are frightened by masks; homeless veterans, suffering from PTSD/TBI and functionally insane who are confused to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU bless each of children, homeless and mentally suffering individuals with a peaceful night’s sleep. 'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.’ [Romans 12:2 ESV]
I lift the citizens on the southwest border, the migrants trying to get into this country, the young people sent across the border on their own. I pray for peace for the citizens and law and order to be restored on the southwest border. ‘For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.’ [1 Corinthians 17:33 ESV]
Take to heart my brothers and sister-in-Christ ‘The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised.’ [Psalm 18:2-4]
I pray each drug mule, cartel infiltrator and all others intent on doing harm will be identified, charged and tried efficiently. I pray the convicted will be sent to their nation of origin. I pray that YOU thwart the criminals, terrorists and cartels from their evil plans to ship drugs, sex slaves, and other slaves, and all other evil plans. ‘Let their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of the LORD pursuing them! For without cause they hid their net for me; without cause they dug a pit for my life. Let destruction come upon him when he does not know it! And let the net that he hid ensnare him; let him fall into it—to his destruction’ [Psalm 35:6-8 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

I expect that you are calm and compassionate in this chaotic season of COVID-19 risk and varying advice from official sources. No doubt that those who rely on your advice and judgement benefit from your knowledge and temperament. I pray that you and I submit our plans and approach to the LORD each day. ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to Him and HE will make your path straight. [Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV] my brother-in-Christ PO2 (Join to see).

Exactly LTC Jeff Shearer - thanks fro dropping in my friend. Headed your way in June 2021, so be prepared brother and I'll send you exact dates as June gets closer... Have a great day...

“Some things in life make sense right away and there are some things that make no sense at all. It’s based on an individual perception and understanding. Making sense out of today’s environment and everything that is happening is this country can be difficult, but you need to do your research in order to understand all the moving parts. It might not make sense now, but…

‘What makes no sense now will make perfect sense later.’ — Unknown Author

May you treat life like a book, the more you read and get into it, the more sense it makes; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. There is nothing wrong with having the sense to put your needs first periodically, so you’re able to comprehend and make sense of what’s happening to you and everything around you.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
