COL Mikel Burroughs good read/share: for the Colonel's Motivational Quotes of the Day. Where the mighty American Bald Eagles roam in the mighty MOUNTAINS OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO AMONG THIER EAGLES-NEST. I know the view must be MAGNIFICENT on this day June 21, 2021 on your RIDE, as you might glance upon the mighty snow capped mountains headed into the month of July. You know I would respond a lot throughout the week, but I am full-time DOD employee doing contracts for the Defense Contracting Management Agency. It is good to have some time to start the week before I start my running around to respond my friend.

Today's theme is "Making a difference Day"

I quote,
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

THE PICTURE DEPICTS MY INNER THOUGHT.

I have no doubt that you have made a difference in the lives of many over your lifetime. I hope as we mature, we make positive impacts in the lives of others we interact with. Iron sharpens iron after all. I expect that you like me, may have pushed against authority in our youth. I hope and pray that the differences we make in life are increasingly positive as we become more selfless and compassionate. 'Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.' [Romans 12:10-13 ESV] my brother-in-Christ SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.

I pray that YOU bless each adopted son and daughter of God who reads or listens to this prayer with grace, compassion, humility and fruit of the Spirit faithfulness and self-control as we strive to make positive differences in the lives of those we interact with. Thank YOU, LORD for guiding us each day and working through us to bless family, friends, neighbors and strangers. Let YOU light and love purify and cleanse us to be useful vessels as YOU expand YOUR kingdom on earth. 'And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.’ [Matthew 22:37-40 ESV]
I lift those who are struggling with debts including widows, widowers, disabled veterans and their family members to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU bless the ministries and ministers focused on aiding grieving widows and widowers and those focused on aiding disabled veterans such as Disabled American Veterans with wisdom, skill and compassion. 'Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.' [Proverbs 31:8-9 ESV]
LORD I lift the trustworthy and conscientious leaders in government, military, business, industry and non-profit organization; managers, and anybody else whose impact makes significant differences people in-person or virtually to YOU. I pray that YOU bless each with knowledge and skill to resolve problems between plans and execution, timelines impacted by resources, and corruption including bribes. Give them eyes to see the corruption and other obstacles to improving operations. ‘But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. [Matthew 13:16-17 ESV]
Remember the LORD admonishes to meditate on the Word of God which the Holy Spirit stores in our soul and to rely on the LORD who is closer and perfectly trustworthy than any brother or friend to us.
d. Psalm 1:1-3 ESV ‘'Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.’
e. Proverbs 18:24 ESV 'A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.'
f. James 2:14-17 ESV ‘What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.’
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Monday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Tuesday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. Can't wait to hear how successful your ride was. You definitely make a difference in so many people's lives.
Making a difference. Great topic as you complete your ride and go on to other projects for now. We can all make a difference in someone's life. I saw so many examples of this during the pandemic; people reaching out and doing good things for those they might not even know! You know that had an impact; it is wonderful when we do something to make a difference in the lives of those close to us but we have many opportunities to do good in the lives of those we may never meet as well. What are you doing to make a difference?
