Hopefully this potential light-attack-fighter aircraft will be robust in terms of offensive and defensive capabilities and light in purchase and sustainment costs SP5 Mark Kuzinski.
I certainly hope the USAF does not retire the A-10 Warthog for at least a generation. That venerable ground support aerial-arsenal-bearing phenomenon has long been a God-send to ground forces and a terror to the enemies.

The A-10 has been an excellent close air support platform. I have seen that high Air Force generals tried to retire every Warthog but the Congress stopped that plan and funded the aircraft into the future.

SSgt Robert Marx - Not only can the A10 get the job done but it can take extensive battle damage, Has a backup system for every system in the aircraft and protect the pilot in a titanium tub like no other aircraft in existence. The A10 has a proven track record in combat.

If it doesn'the cost a lot of money the AF will not want it. There is so much money wasted we could buy new close support AC with ease.
