I wonder where they got the money to fund such a project? Hmmmmmm Erin Nelson any ideas? What about the TOP Influencers here on RP. Any idea where the Iranians got the funds to build and test such a new missile?

To address a larger problem is something that I related to earlier, if the UN were enforcing its right to conduct its inspections and responding to its own threats in carrying them out then we would not be at this point right now. Which is why in regard to an earlier article I said that we need to stop making threats and start initiating actions we can't be the parent that holds empty threats over someone's head because eventually the world stops listening either say nothing and do nothing or say something and do something even say nothing and do something don't say something to do nothing. Should make our own mock Star Wars LOL and everytime our Intel is sitting there watching somebody test something like this instead of watching we should be pulling it up in the ground for every chance to test it ignition boom ignition boom

Iran and North Korea have a lot in common Erin Nelson - they both like to announce how big and bad their capabilities are.
There are vocal elements in Iran which communicate outside. however in NK many most likely dream of communicating out but the threats outweigh the benefits.
I am trying to be careful what I write since I swore long ago not to talk about some areas.
Iran had US equipment -aircraft and ground combat vehicles when the Iranian revolution ousted Shah Pahlavi in 1979. Everything from Lockheed F-104 Starfighter to their ground system was in bad need of maintenance and parts.
Nations including Germany provided nuclear technology to Iran a decade or so ago. Iran has some capability to develop weapons and systems; however, they see to rely on as much outside help as they can get from China among other nations, most likely.
You may remember that Israel took out some Iranian nuclear capability in 1981 and publicly mulled conducting a strike in 2012.
The Stuxnet virus caused significant damage to delivery capability, most likely as it "ravaged Iran's Natanz nuclear facility" in November 2013. No nation claimed responsibility for that effective strike.
It is in the realm of possibility that some nations have the capability and interest in keeping nuclear weapons capability from maturing in Iran.
