My mom read everything she could find about how to keep herself healthier and make her cancer-resistant, took supplements by the handfulls, and had all those claims been true, she would still be with us, but she still died of cancer. We each have an appointed-time, and we won't live a second-longer, or a second-shorter than our appointed-time.

You are right on target Sgt Steve McFarland.
My wife is one of the most health conscious people I know and she has had two bouts with cancer. My mother was the same way and while she lived with it for an extended period of time, it still took her three years ago.
On the other hand I'm one of the least health conscious person I know and not a sign of it anywhere and I believe genetics plays an important role in our state of health but in the end I agree with you - when it is your time, it is your time.
