Thanks for sharing the news COL Charles Williams that record snowfalls are pilling up in various parts of the world.
Of course many who believe that humans are primarily responsible for weather, will ignore any information which contradicts their beliefs.

Have you source checked the climatedepot.com? They receive more than 25% of their funding from Exxon Mobil. Do you not see a bias there? Marc Morano is a climate change denier that has his hands in the fossil fuel pockets. please try some real research and educate the public about the harm we are doing to the earth and the legacy we leave our children.

SPC John Smith - weather and climate are inextricably linked. Weather is observable to everybody - even, the blind, deaf and dumb can recognize, cold, warmth and heat.
Climate is after all the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period. Climate is more of a construct than an observable activity.
Climate data is extrapolated from scattered measuring locations [the USSR and now Russia has many of those data collection points because they are so massive in size and cold impacts them.
As a trained and experienced ORSA long ago I learned to recognize bias as you point out.
climatedepot.com/ may well receive 25% of its funding from Exxon Mobil. Those who produce energy have vested interests in learning about the issues from varied viewpoints.
1. I always chuckle at the use of the Darwinian term fossil fuels which implies that natural gas, coal and petroleum are based on decomposing plant and animal matter.
Plants and animals die every day as they have for millennia and yet we don't tend to find fuel where massive amounts of bison were slaughtered, where massive amounts of trees were feels or wild fires
2. I think you meant to state that Marc Morano is a skeptic about man-as the primary instigator for climate change.
3. When I was young the small earth folks who wanted to reduce human population were warning about the nuclear winter and concerns about another ice age because we had too many people and no capability to feed them throughout the world. Advances in biology research and agriculture as well as distribution enabled much food to be produced and distributed [that didn't save the people of Biafra as the corrupt Nigerian government wants to starve them to death because they were not submitting]
4. Over the past two generation the eco-warriors have rallied the faithful to their cause to believe than mankind is primarily responsible for long-term changes in weather. Carbon dioxide is essential for plant growth. Carbon dioxide is emitted in the respiratory processes of animals and humans. Symbiotically plants take in carbon dioxide and through photosynthesis they emit oxygen which benefits animals and so the cycle continue.
5. The leaders convinced the gullible that climate credits would be a good thing that actually helped something besides lining pockets with funding.

I believe there are "scientist" self proclaimed or otherwise arguing both sides of this debate.
Personally, I believe that the weather and climate of Earth goes in cycles.

LTC (Join to see) - Ice ages have occurred many time sin the past. I concur with your assessment.

SSgt Harvey "Skip" Porter I Remember Digging out of My Flat in Brandywine, WV. They haven't had that Much Snowfall in that location since I left in 84. I Remember Ringing the Bell for the Salvation Army outside the Walmart in Overland Park, KS, 30 Below Windchill, Haven't had that here in Several Years, I Remember Plenty of Snow around Here except now we have had 5 years at least without any significant Snowfall. This is Tornado Alley, The Tornado Siren was a Common Thing, Other than Tests I haven't heard it set off in a Real Situation in 3 Years. By All Indications I have Seen Climate Change is Most Definitely Happening, Faster and Harder than Initially Conceived.

So far all told, the total amount of snow we've had is about 30-36 inches, a lot of it melted away.
