Where the mighty American Bald Eagles roam in the mighty ROCKY MOUNTAINS OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO AMONG THIER EAGLES-NEST. I know the view must be MAGNIFICIENT on this day December 15, 2020 as you might glance upon the mighty snowcapped mountains headed into the New Year 2020. As you know I would respond a lot throughout the week, but I am full-time DOD employee doing contracts for the Defense Contracting Management Agency. I expect you appreciate magnifying glass and prisms which amplify or diffuse light and sunglasses to shield our eyes from bright sunlight. In this season where evil seems to be encroaching on the light and love of God, it is wise to remember that God is in complete control. HE permits evil to appear to flourish before judgement. ‘Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord. “BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.’ [Romans 12:19-21 ESV]

Good morning Col Burroughs. Love today's philosophical bent to the idea of light. Each of us has a light within. Some of us have "banked" it and so it is hard to see but given the right encouragement and support it can come roaring back again. One of the things that helps me most is knowing that others depend on me. When things look dark, I feed my spirit so I can help others. What inspires you to "be the light"?
