I went to the Military Museum in Calgary, Alberta. I will post Canadian Air Force and Navy pictures in another post.
Here are some Armor dioramas recreating fighting in Holland 1944-1945.
Some tanks were outside on the museum property.
The Canadian Firefly Sherman tank was a Panzer Killer. It had a British 17 pounder anti-tank gun. This main gun was Superior to other American Sherman tanks.
The museum had a couple Churchill tanks as well.
The Canadians lost men and Churchill tanks at Dieppe.

Calgary, Alberta Canada || MILITARY MUSEUM
One of the tourist spot here in Calgary,Alberta,Canada.
Thank you my friend LTC (Join to see) for making us aware that you went to the Military Museum in Calgary, Alberta
Background from {[travelalberta.com/us/listings/the-military-museums-3874/]}
The Military Museums is the second-largest military museum in Canada. This multi-faceted attraction houses four regimental museums, three branch-specific museums, an art gallery, and The Military Museums Library and Archives. The Military Museums has an incredible collection of artefacts and stories spanning Canada's military history from the late 1800s through the World Wars to Afghanistan. The Military Museums also features the Cold War Exhibit comprised of two hangars, which house a CF-18 Hornet, a CF-104 Starfighter, and an F-86 Sabre Jet fighter, paying tribute to the Canadians who stood ready to defend Canada throughout the Cold War. Visitors can easily spend a day or two taking in a wide variety of exhibits. The Military Museums is dedicated to representing Canada's navy, army, and air force and educating the public, particularly youth, about Canada's military. The museum is a short drive south of downtown. Visitors can take Crowchild Trail to Flanders Avenue and head east. Turn right onto Amiens Road and follow the signs. What's Great: From authentic armoured vehicles and fighter planes, the history of the regimental galleries, or the rotating contemporary art and heritage exhibitions of the Founders’ Gallery, the size and scope of The Military Museums has it made one of Calgary’s top attractions. Local Tip: The size of the Military Museums means you should plan at least a half-day to quickly see the highlights of the facility, but you should plan for a full day to truly experience all the interactive exhibits they offer. This is also a great place for grandchildren to spend a day with their grandparents."

Military and Government History
Content
From coins to campaign posters and trench art to tunics, the Military and Government History collection contains over 55,000 artifacts. Our collection represents the functions of government in Alberta and tells stories of the province’s military and political history.
Highlights include:
Uniforms and equipment representing the three branches of the Canadian Armed Forces, as well as federal, provincial, and municipal law enforcement.
Objects that represent political movements, parties, and personalities.
13,000+ pieces of numismatic material (coins, tokens, medallions, paper money, and other types of currency).
1,000+ military and civilian medals.
3,000+ Prisoner of War and Home Front artifacts, ranging from material representing Albertan PoWs abroad to combatant German PoWs in Alberta during the Second World War.
2,000 firearms that date from the mid-1700s to the present.
We are always looking to add to our collection. We seek objects that represent the many ways that Albertans experience government, politics, and the military. We are especially interested in acquiring contemporary material from diverse communities across Alberta. Have an object you think we might be interested in? We’d love to hear from you!

This is amazing LTC (Join to see)! I remember when field trips to museums and historical sites were part of the curriculum. My fifth grade class on Long Island actually toured West Point! I was extremely impressed by the ‘shiny’ floors and the perfectly made bunks! That was the first time I actually saw a soldier bounce a quarter off a perfectly made bunk! We also toured several of the historic buildings. I think it’s imperative we teach factual history in our schools and field trips allow students to see history in person. Great Photos!LTC (Join to see)
