Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. One of my favorite songs comes immediately to mind. More comments below...

We use dance as a therapy just like drama, writing and art. It is a way of expressing feelings but without words. Dance plus music is kinesthetic and connects to parts of our mind that are otherwise inaccessible. We all have music that makes us dance even if it is just "toe tapping"
The best leaders engage their team in a dance that is so seamless it is hard to tell as the "lead" moves back and forth. I've had that feeling and as both a member and a leader and it is memorable.

Charlie Brown! I like your comment! That seamless "dance" as a team is maybe rare but: "Wow" what a feeling!

Charlie you hit the nail right on the head, dance to the sound of your favorite music! It transforms your mind, heart and body into a stress free shell that your body can enter until the music stops. It's like floating on a cloud way above all our daily stress and issues most of us experience almost daily. Amen!

I hope that you are content in your circumstances and increasing in compassion and demonstration of love. No doubt you have experienced joy enough to dance. I hope and pray that each of us are free from anything that drags us down. ‘‘For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.’ my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I lift the homeless especially those in cold areas, the suicidal, the homicidal and the desperate to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU motivate individuals to come to the aid of these individuals. I pray that YOU bless each with hope in YOU. ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.’ Romans 15:13 ESV]
I pray that the joy of the LORD punctuates your grief and that the peace of God soothes your soul. I pray that YOU cleanse each one of YOUR adopted children from everything that inhibits our prayers. ‘Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation.' [Psalm 51:10-12 ESV].
For each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who are mourning the dead, the extremely sick and troubled with recurring nightmares, I pray for solace and a peaceful night’s sleep for each one. ‘I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows weak because of all my foes. The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD accepts my prayer. [Psalm 67:6-7, 9]
For each adopted son and daughter concerned about the state of this nation and the future in the face of potential trauma in this nation of the USA, Canada, Mexico, India, Korea, Australia and New Zealand; place you trust in the LORD WHO will sustain you through turmoil, pestilence, death of those close to you. The Holy Spirit is sanctifying the soul of each one of us. HE will restore joy in HIS perfect timing. ‘'Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.’ [James 1:2-4 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Tuesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Wednesday morning.

I find it obscene to use "The Lord of the Dance" juxtaposed with Irish jig performing chickens and other such fun things. There is another set of lyrics to this tune that would be far more appropriate . In all honesty, I am shocked.

LTC Gene Moser if you look at the origins of the song you might be more offended. The Story Behind Lord of the Dance
In writing the lyrics to "Lord of the Dance" in 1963, Sydney Carter was inspired partly by Jesus, but also partly by a statue of the Hindu God Shiva as Nataraja (Shiva's dancing pose) which sat on his desk, and was partly intending simply to give tribute to Shaker music. He later stated, "I did not think the churches would like it at all. I thought many people would find it pretty far flown, probably heretical and anyway dubiously Christian. But in fact people did sing it and, unknown to me, it touched a chord ... Anyway, it's the sort of Christianity I believe in."

Actually, no. I had forgotten the actual origins of "Lord of the Dance." I was reminded that the tune is a Shaker melody. Again, it's the Irish jig chickens that bother me, and they dance to secular music, nt laturgical or spiritual
