CHINA HAS LANDED ON MARS!!!
As many of you may have heard, China has been able to land their Lander/Rover overnight... I Previewed many video releases of the China Landing process and all one could see was an animation of the landing in several versions... This video does a sort of comparison of the two different approaches to building and operating a Rover on Mars! My initial viewpoint is that the technology of China as regards their space ventures is that it does not seem to be as robust as any of our current rovers, but perhaps, something like what we had with Spirit and Opportunity.... It remains to be seen in future Videos from the China Space Agency if their progress supersedes that of the U.S.
Let me know what you think about this comparison video... I am curious...

At first blush, i don't see the same level of sophistication in equipment, but then China did land on moon (or so they say)...

Very interesting comparison. If it didn't involve electronics I'd not give the Chinese version much hope, but they've pretty much solved the reliability issue on electronics......look at pretty much any device in your home.

If they used their typical lead free solder, it won't last very long. Tin whiskers will grow and short it out.
