LORD YOU know what needs to be done to unjust leaders, judges, magistrates and legislators who reject YOUR wisdom to their risk as they ignore the pleas of the desperate, the downtrodden and those abandoned by family, friends and governments. ‘Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression, to turn aside the needy from justice and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey! What will you do on the day of punishment, in the ruin that will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth? Nothing remains but to crouch among the prisoners or fall among the slain. For all this his anger has not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still. [Isaiah 10:1-4 ESV]
I expect there is rejoicing and wit in the household of former President Donald J. Trump and his supporters and weeping and gnashing of teeth in Nancy Pelosi, and House impeachment managers and their supporters tonight. The acquittal of former President Donald J. Trump may well bring about more unity than the words of POTUS Joe Biden have achieved. 'Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight'. [Romans 12:15-16 ESV.]
