“This is our last day in Tucson, AZ as we support our daughter on the new chapter in her life and head back to the “Eagle’s Nest” in Castle Rock, CO. What a marathon of adventure it has been getting her moved from California, set up in a new apartment, and getting her started on a new adventure and new job. Here’s wishing all of you in the RallyPoint Nation all the success in your new chapters, whatever they may be. Here is my response today to the message: ‘Move on. It’s just a chapter in the past. But don’t close the book, just turn the page.’ — Unknown Author. May your next chapter be positive and full of new memories; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Peace be with you all today.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I hope you recognize that God is the author of your life. I expect you comprehend that the LORD sets boundaries around each of us and HE guides each of us along the path of life. Generally, HE guides and at times including grief we often lean on HIM for support. ‘For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.’ [Psalm 139:13-14 ESV] my brother-in-Christ COL Mikel J. Burroughs.
I lift spouses who are parents/ grandparents, their children/grandchildren, their family members and friends who are YOUR adopted children, or their loved ones, to YOU LORD. Too many seem to be focused on the COVID-19 risk, corruption in governing and government, crime including looting, and injustice real and perceived. I am thankful that YOU are in control of all creation including what we go through and those we love are going through. ‘And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.’ [Romans 8:27-28 ESV]
I pray for those who are infected with presently untreatable diseases, those with terminal cancer, those with other terminal diseases, those in hospice care, and their loved ones der LORD. I pray that YOU guide the mind, hands, and feet of those caring for each, treating them, counseling them and preparing them and their loved ones for the death of the patient. YOU are the author of life. Man knows not his time of demise and YOU know exactly when, where and how each one is to be born and each one’s death. I pray that YOU bless each one who is grieving for any reason tonight with abundant peace, joy and the ability to sleep well tonight with pleasant dreams. 'Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.' [1 Peter 5:6-7 ESV]
I pray for estranged family members and friends as Easter approaches dear LORD. I pray for an outpouring of confession, repentance, forgiveness, and restoration of fellowship by this Easter [western and Orthodox calendar, respectively]. LORD YOU created the bridge of atonement to restore fellowship and relationship between fallen mankind and YOURSELF. Let YOUR light and love shine through of us to draw others towards YOU. ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.’ [2 Corinthians 5:17-18 ESV]
I pray for a noticeable increase in honesty and trustworthiness of elected officials throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, France, Israel, India, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, New Zealand and Australia. I pray that each one who is honest and unbiased seeks wisdom from YOU. Nobody is inherently righteousness. Yet in YOUR mercy YOU credit the account of each adopted child of YOURS with the pure righteousness of the Christ. ‘Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. 15See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;’ [Hebrews 12:14-15 ESV]
I pray that each adopted son and daughter of YOUR who reads this prayer takes to heart the hopeful admonishment of the LORD ‘Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.’ [Ecclesiastes 7:8 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Tuesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Wednesday morning.

Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. Safe travels Mikel and Bella. So exciting for your daughter to be starting a new chapter in a new location.
Even if we are not moving physically, that's no reason we can't move in other ways (mentally, emotionally, spiritually) and start a new page or a new chapter in our lives. Embracing change, moving forward in some way: learning, growing, creating new relationships. Every day is an opportunity to do this if we choose to do so. Just because one page has not turned out as we wish is no reason to discard the book of our lives. It is a reason to start a new page or chapter and go from there.
