Good Late Afternoon my RP Brothers and Sisters!
For my Late Afternoon Music Interlude, I selected a song I heard on my USB Drive as I was heading home from work... The song is entitled "You're Still You" Written by Ennio Morricone, Linda Thompson... and sung by world renowned Baritone, Josh Groban...
Here is the back story:
"Josh Groban Debuts on Ally McBeal - The year is 2001 and Josh Groban's career takes off after he appears on the Season 4 finale of Ally McBeal as a jilted teenager.
The episode, titled "The Wedding," is supposed to surround Ally's wedding to Larry Paul until some real-life drama alters the onscreen romance. Robert Downey Jr., whose portrayal made Larry a fan favorite, relapses into drug use and is hastily written out of the series. Ally distracts herself from Larry's absence by taking on the case of teenager Malcolm Wyatt (Groban), who is suing a girl for backing out of their prom date. The highlight, however, is his performance of "You're Still You." Groban's appearance is so popular, prompting over 8,000 emails from viewers, he's invited back for the next season.
"I woke up after that episode aired, and my manager called and said I had to do three interviews," Groban recalls. "I'd never done an interview in my life."
In November, Groban releases his self-titled debut album, which peaks at #8 in the US." Music History Calendar
