APOD: 2019 September 2 - The Moon and Jupiter over the Alps

Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "The Moon and Jupiter over the Alps." This conjunction between the Moon and Jupiter (just left and below the Moon) occurred about three weeks ago at sunset. Saturn is close to the upper left corner of the image. The picturesque mountains in the distance are Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks of Lavaredo), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and three of the best known mountain peaks in Italy. The entire scene was captured on a single 8-second exposure.
