Because the US Government won’t, states are stepping up to secure the country’s border:
(06 19 21) Republican Gov Ron DeSantis will send Florida law enforcement officers to the U.S.-Mexico border to assist federal, state, and local police who are responding to the border crisis in Arizona and Texas. These governors have asked every other state to send in reinforcements.
Officers from the Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, and Walton County Sheriff’s Office will head roughly 1,000 miles west to the southern border. The Florida Division of Emergency Management will oversee the deployments.

Its so shameful that the Biden Administration is failing to uphold let alone obey Federal Law and have our own states and American Citizens become the victims of this failure. Its got so out of control by the Federal Government under Biden failing in its duties its forcing state to act to protect themselves. They have taken a problem that the Trump administration was getting under control after the failure of the prior Obama Administration to do the right thing and now the clock has been turned back to the prior failed practices. It seems Biden/Harris have learned nothing at all. talk is cheap, action that is in compliance with existing Federal laws is what is needed.
