Thank you my audiophile friend SGT (Join to see) for posting the official music video of The Doors performing "People Are Strange" in 1967 in honor of the fact that on September 22, 1967 - The Doors appeared on the Murray the K show on WPIX-TV in New York City performing 'People Are Strange' and 'Light My Fire.'"

Song background 'Jim Morrison came up with some lyrics for this song during a walk with Robby Krieger to Laurel Canyon. They went there because Morrison felt depressed that day, came to Krieger's place, and they decided to watch the sunset in the canyon.
Ray Manzarek (The Doors' keyboard player) produced a cover of this song by the band Echo & The Bunnymen. Their version was featured in the horror film "The Lost Boys" (1987) during a scene where a big poster of Jim Morrison can be seen."
