Any census should count the number of Citizens! That number should equal or exceed the number of registered voters in a state!

That would require an amendment to the Constitution.
From the 14th Amendment:
“ Representatives shall be apportioned among the several states according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each state, excluding Indians not taxed.”

Good afternoon Chuck. I agree with you. There is fault with the 14th amendment when they say don't count Indians. To me that shows the intent of the Amendment was just to count citizens. Now I know that some will say, well how about all the other "people" that existed at that time. Well, if there were any question it should have been sent back to Congress to be clarified needing the same vote as an original Constitutional Amendment would need. If Congress couldn't get the votes required, the Amendment should be stricken down in its entirety. This business of a judge judging the intent of a law is bull, the law itself needs to say yes or no. MHO

Thank you my friend PO1 William "Chip" Nagel for making us aware that a proposal by 'NY democrat' Rep. Carolyn Maloney is proposing a bill that would not require citizenship to be included in the 2030 census.
I concur with my friend CSM Charles Hayden and SFC (Join to see)'s responses. It would be reasonable to amend the 14th amendment to include native Americans who reside within the United States.
I non-concur with any attempt to include non-citizens in the census unles they are enumerated as non citizens by category; resident aliens; those here on work visas; those who overstayed their visa time limitations; unregistered aliens who entered this nation illegally [non-punitive]

Thank You Brother Steve for this info. Why should we let someone who isn't supposed to be here in the first-place vote? That's one of the stupidest things I ever heard of. Remember they are called illegal aliens because they are here illegally.
