Thank you, my friend Sgt (Join to see) for posting the music video of Jimmy Seals & Darrell Crofts performing their 1972 #1 hit song Summer Breeze on the Midnight Special in 1973.
On July 18, 2019 I was awakened at 0515 in the SICU room #2 at Baltimore VAMC. Foley catheter removed, spinal drainage measured, then I went through a Physical therapy and occupational therapy interview and a physical test which I passed - using a walker and then a cane. I was exhausted after walking and was helped to get back into the hospital bed.

The Midnight Special, 1973
Written in 1972 by Seals and Crofts, ‘Summer Breeze’ goes down in rock history as one of Rolling Stone’s Best Summer Songs Of All Time. With its easy, breezy feel and airtight 70’s harmonies, it’s easy to see why the Seals and Crofts classic is impossible to get out of our minds after all these years: it’s absolutely stunning.
This 1973 performance features Seals and Crofts performing ‘Summer Breeze’ on The Midnight Special, and it’s worth noting how sweaty and out of breath they appear to be – this is back in the days when musicians actually put in work. Singer Jim Seals is fantastic, playing lead while being supported by Dash Crofts, who does a sensational job providing the song’s backing harmonies and melody, courtesy of a mandolin."

Lyrics
See the curtains hangin' in the window, in the evenin' on a Friday night
A little light a-shinin' through the window, lets me know everything is alright
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind
See the paper layin' in the sidewalk, a little music from the house next door
So I walked on up to the doorstep, through the screen and across the floor
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Sweet days of summer, the jasmine's in bloom
July is dressed up and playing her tune
And I come home from a hard day's work
And you're waiting there, not a care in the world
See the smile a-waitin' in the kitchen, food cookin' and the plates for two
Feel the arms that reach out to hold me, in the evening when the day is through
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind"
