Thank you my friend SGT (Join to see) for posting the music video of Paul McCartney and Wings performing Band on the Run in honor of the fact that on June 8, 1974 - Paul McCartney and Wings went to No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Band On The Run'. '
Kudos to George Harrison for "If we ever get out of here" when he said it during one of the many Beatles' business meetings."

Band On The Run' written by Paul James McCartney/ Linda Louise McCartney
lyrics
"Stuck inside these four walls
Sent inside forever
Never seeing no one
Nice again
Like you, Mama
You, Mama
You
If I ever get out of here
Thought of giving it all away
To a registered charity
All I need is a pint a day
If I ever get outta here
(If we ever get outta here)
Well, the rain exploded with a mighty crash
As we fell into the sun
And the first one said to the second one there
"I hope you're having fun"
Band on the run, band on the run
And the jailer man and sailor Sam
Were searching everyone
For the band on the run, band on the run
For the band on the run, band on the run
Well, the undertaker drew a heavy sigh
Seeing no one else had come
And a bell was ringing in the village square
For the rabbits on the run
Band on the run, band on the run
And the jailer man and sailor Sam
Were searching everyone
For the band on the run, band on the run
Yeah, the band on the run
The band on the run
Band on the run
Band on the run
Well, the night was falling as the desert world
Began to settle down
In the town they're searching for us everywhere
But we never will be found
Band on the run, band on the run
And the county judge who held a grudge
Will search forever more
For the band on the run, the band on the run
Band on the run (Yeah)
The band on the run (Yeah)"

One classic Paul McCartney and Wings song inspires me to post a couple more.

The 60's and 70's had some of the best music ever in my mind.

SFC Chuck Martinez - There were so many good groups and singers that it is hard to pinpoint which one you like the best. Students often ask me who my favorite was. I tell them it depends on my mood. Then I tell them in due time they will understand my answer.

There were so many bands coming out with different tunes and songs in the 60 and 70 Vic. The beach Boys, the rolling stones, Jimi Hendrix who played the hell out of his guitar, the Bee Gees brothers, the monkeys, and the temptations were my favorite.

SFC Chuck Martinez - It was definitely the defining time for music. I guess I am living in the past but then again, I do that every time I get into my car to go someplace. Over 1,400 songs spread across a few jump drives keep me company everywhere I go if I am along.
