Thank you my friend SGT (Join to see) for posting the music video of Pink Floyd performing "Learning To Fly' live at Knebworth 1990 in honor of the fact that on 'June 14, 1987 - 30 hired hands moved 800 rented NHS beds onto Saunton Sands in North Devon for Storm Thorgerson to shoot what would be the cover of the forthcoming Pink Floyd album 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason'. Rain interrupted the shoot and the team were forced to repeat the exercise two weeks later."

"Learning To Fly' written by David Jon Gilmour / Jon Carin
Lyrics
Into the distance, a ribbon of black
Stretched to the point of no turning back
A flight of fancy on a wind swept field
Standing alone my senses reeled
A fatal attraction is holding me fast
How can I escape this irresistible grasp?
Can't keep my eyes from the circling sky
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I
Ice is forming on the tips of my wings
Unheeded warnings, I thought I thought of everything
No navigator to find my way home
Unladened, empty and turned to stone
A soul in tension that's learning to fly
Condition grounded but determined to try
Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I
Above the planet on a wing and a prayer,
My grubby halo, a vapor trail in the empty air,
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unthreatened by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night
There's no sensation to compare with this
Suspended animation, a state of bliss
Can't keep my mind from the circling sky
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I"

One modern Pink Floyd song certainly is worth posting at last a couple more Pink Floyd songs IMHO.

As far as I am concerned, "The Wall" is their only album!

Thank you my friend 1LT Peter Duston for sharing your thoughts. I first became aware of Pink Floyd when Syd Barret was still sane. Meddle was the first album I listened to and then Dark Side of the Moon. Saucerful of Secrets, Atom Heart Mother, and Ummagumma had some interesting tracks.
