Thank you my friend PO1 William "Chip" Nagel for posting the sad news from India.
Prayers for our friends in India including CPT Gurinder 'Gene' and his family.

Yes in some provinces it is challenging to get doses where they are needed.
International assistance is coming from USA and UK in terms of doses. However distribution in country will be the biggest challenge.

India's record breaking COVID death and infection numbers bring healthcare systems to a standstill
The devastating surge in India's COVID-related deaths and infection rates has strangled India's healthcare infrastructure, sapping critical oxygen reserves and hospital beds. This as the U.S. government delivers more than $100 million worth of supplies, including oxygen support, personal protective equipment, therapeutics, and rapid diagnostic tests. Holly Williams speaks with those on the ground in desperate need of the aid.

This is not good. All the developed countries need to step up and help these people. The United States assistance is helping, however, it is apparent the the U.S. alone can't do this. The U.N. needs to step up and make their presence known as well.

SP5 (Join to see) When you say U.N. I immediately think “U.S.”
There are some friends that I do not care to go out to dinner with. They always manage to avoid picking up the check. If squeezed, they will offer to split the check!

That is several steps above what I expect from the U.N.!

CSM Charles Hayden - Regrettably, I believe you are correct. I do believe that the U.N. should put up or shut up. I'm sure they have some resources available for deployment.

CSM Charles Hayden SP5 (Join to see) PO3 Bob McCord LTC (Join to see) LTC Stephen F. LTC John Mohor CPT (Join to see) COL (Join to see) Canada banned flights from India and Pakistan last week. The USA is doing the same thing now. In this instance, the USA took longer to stop flights from India and Pakistan. Canada did it on April 22nd. The USA announced it yesterday April 30th. If Trump was still in Office, he would be blamed for waiting a week compared to his peers like Canada.

The USA banned many flights from China on 31st of January and Canada stopped on the 1st of Feb 2020. Trump was called Racist. Nancy Pelsoi and Chinese Democrats were livid through the USA. The USA banned international flights on the 12th of March, 2020. The official closing of the Air corridors was on the 20th of March, 2020 from Canada.

The Biden Administration took an extra week, why? I do not see the media saying much about this. I live in Canada and my Pakistani and Indian Employees are livid they cannot travel to see their families back home.

I am unable to answer your questions Stephen. I believe there are people that can. Will they? I'm not confident that they will.
